As contas públicas da Roménia estão em ordem.
Em 2006 o défice foi de 1,7% do PIB, abaixo dos 2,5% inicialmente previstos.
A ajudar o Governo romeno, segundo a última estimativa, está um crescimento económico na ordem dos 8% o ano passado.

“The European constitution is not the answer. The citizens’ rejection of it in the French and Dutch referenda was crystal clear (…) The new text should simply change and supplement the current treaties where needed. In many fields the national level is and remains the most important level. But in other areas a Europe-wide approach is much more effective. 162 mil milhões de euros: é o saldo comercial da Alemanha em 2006.
A principal economia europeia mantém, deste modo, a primeira posição no ranking mundial dos que mais exportam, com 893 mil milhões de euros (13,7% de crescimento em relação a 2005). O maior aumento verificou-se nas exportações para fora da União Europeia (mais 17%).
Quanto às importações, cresceram 16,5%, para os 731 mil milhões de euros.
